[A] PEACE NEWS WINTER GATHERING, 16/17 JAN, N'HAM: STILL TIME TO BOOK

There's still time to book a place at this month's Peace News Winter
Gathering in Nottingham (15 - 17 January):

In addition to legendary US peace activist Keith McHenry (see [D]
below), the Gathering will include eyewitness reports from UK members
of the Gaza Freedom (see [E] below), as well as activists from No
Borders, EDO Decommissioners, Notts Anti-militarism, Fellowship of
Reconciliation, Hastings Against War, the Oxford Catholic Worker and
the World Court Project (to name just a few).

Evening entertainment on the Saturday will be provided by
singer-songwriter Clayton Denwood (www.claytondenwood.com), and food
will be provided by the wonderful Vegan catering campaign Veggies
(www.veggies.org.uk).

The gathering is followed by an anti-arms trade action in Nottingham
on Monday 18 January.

Long time peace campaigner Milan Rai is the author of several books
including '7/7 The London Bombings, Islam and the Iraq War' (Pluto
2006) and 'Chomsky's Politics' (Verso, ).  He has been awarded the
Frank Cousins Peace award 1993, and the Peace Award of the Christian
peace group Pax Christi 2007, and is currently co-editor of Peace News

Legendary US peace activist Keith McHenry, co-founder of Food Not
Bombs (www.foodnotbombs.net), is visiting the UK this month.

Arrested over 100 times for serving free food in city parks, Keith has
spent over 500 nights in jail for his activism and once faced
25-years-to-life in prison under the California Three Strikes Law (see
