The first Falluja massacre, one year on

On the first anniversary of the massacre of 13 civilians in the Iraqi town of
Falluja, while the recently besieged
town remains under threat of assault by US marines, anti war group J-N-V is
holding a vigil opposite Downing Street
of protest and remembrance.

Last year 13 civilians where massacred during a protest in Falluja where Iraqis
were demanding US troops leave a
school they were occupying. Among the dead was a 13-year-old boy.

Controversy still shrouds the events as witnesses’ stories conflict with the
official account. US troops claim
they were fired at, however the evidence does not support this. Justice Not
Vengeance are staging a street
performance of the event. It presents both the official side of the story,
journalists and eye witness accounts.
